EGOSE 2016 was a third international academic conference in the field of Electronic Governance focused on the use of ICT for greater openness, transparency and democracy in the Eurasian region. It was organized by the e-Governance Centre of the ITMO University in St Petersburg, Russia, during 22-23 November 2016 at the University’s premises. The Conference remains the only English-language academic event on this topic held in the region, with the proceedings published in the authoritative ACM Digital Library within its International Conference Proceedings Series.
As many as 128 authors from 16 countries submitted 65 papers that were double-blind reviewed by the Conference Programme Committee members (82 in total) representing Algeria, Austria, Belgium, Colombia, Croatia, Estonia, Germany, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Kazakhstan, Latvia, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Sweden, Turkey and United States of America.
As a result of the review process, 39 papers were accepted for presentation and subsequent publishing in the Conference Proceedings.
The Conference (62 registered participants in total), opened by Dmitrii Trutnev, Deputy Director of e-Governance Centre, were welcomed by Philip Kazin, Dean of the Faculty of Technoligical Management and Innovations of the ITMO University.
There were three plenary and six research papers sessions that constituted the backbone of EGOSE 2016.
Accepted papers have been published in the ACM International Conference Proceedings Series
Tree papers submitted from Belgium, Portugal and Taiwan were awarded as the Best Papers at a Gala-Dinner ceremony.
